Isaac Appears on Movies, Films, and Flix

After years of faithful listening to Mark Hofmeyer’s Movies, Films, and Flix podcast, horror author Isaac Thorne recently joined Mark for an episode about the 1989 Kurt Russel/Kelly McGillis romantic drama Winter People.

“I’m a big fan of Mark’s podcast,” Isaac says. “He has throngs of interesting guests and unique insights into the films we all know and love. It was fun talking about such an overlooked movie as Winter People.”

Directed by Ted Kotcheff (First Blood, Weekend at Bernie’s), Winter People was the first film produced by Castle Rock Entertainment. The film has been so overlooked or ignored over the years that the Castle Rock fact is the only trivia that appears on the film’s IMDB page, at least as of this writing.

After some discussion, Mark and Isaac both seemed to agree that Winter People is deserving of more attention that it gets. Isaac, in particular, has an emotional connection to the movie because of the Kurt Russell character’s “outsider” status.

In addition to the Movies, Films, and Flix website, Mark Hofmeyer and the Movies, Films, and Flix podcast can be found on Twitter.
