Isaac Appears at Knoxville TBR Con Sept. 13-14

The second Tennessee Book & Readers Convention opens Sept. 13 and 14 at the Knoxville Expo Center in Knoxville, Tenn. Among the many authors in attendance is Middle Tennessee horror author Isaac Thorne. Thorne’s latest novel, Tab’s Terrible Third Eye, has been recently honored by The Eric Hoffer Award and the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Tab’s Terrible Third Eye also made the short list in the Chanticleer Shelley Book Awards and the semi-finalist round in The Kindle Book Review Awards.

“My cover artist, Ellezor, and I tabled at the first TBR Con last year,” Thorne says. “I’m excited to be returning. Ellezor had planned to return with me but is now unable to attend due to family obligations. I will be there representing us both, with my books and Ellezor’s coloring books for sale.”

The convention opens at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13 and 14. On Saturday, the doors close at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the convention closes at 5 p.m. Tickets for the entire weekend are available at Event Brite. Single-day tickets can be purchased available at the door. More information about the event and attendees can be found at the TBR Con Facebook page.

About Isaac Thorne and Ellezor

Isaac Thorne is the author of three horror novels:ย The Gordon Place,ย Hell Spring, andย Tab’s Terrible Third Eye, all of which take place in the different eras of the same fictional small Southern town. “My novel work tends to lean into psychosocial explorations of Southern culture and constructs,” Isaac says. “I’ve lived my entire life in Tennessee, much of it in rural Tennessee. I’m familiar with being a bit of a misfit here, and I think my protagonists tend to reflect that.”

In addition to his novels, Thorne is the author of numerous short stories, some of which he has released both as single ebooks and in a 2017 collection titledย Road Kills. His screenplay adaptation of his short story “Diggum” has won recognition from a number of horror film festivals. His short story “Because Reasons” was adapted into a 2016 audio play for Carmen Productions and a 2017 short film for My Little Rascal Productions.

Ellezor is an illustrator and graphic designer who has previously worked on officially licensed coloring books for Insight Editions. In addition to that work, she produces her own fantasy and horror-themed coloring books and planners. Ellezor’s coloring books and 2026 planner collection will be available for sale at the convention. However, Ellezor will not be present to sign copies.
