Jim Phoenix of HauntedMTL, the online horror magazine that published Isaac Thorne’s short story “Dead Rights” a few years ago, recently interviewed Isaac on the new “What’s Kraken” podcast. A new addition to HauntedMTL’s podcast line-up, “What’s Kraken?” features interviews with horror creators.
“I was honored to be asked to appear on the podcast,” Isaac says. “Jim loved ‘Dead Rights’ when HauntedMTL published it a few years ago. I love HauntedMTL’s micro-fiction posts and podcasts. We’ve been connected on social media for a while now, and it was great to finally chat with Jim for a while.”
Topics Isaac and Jim chatted about included Isaac’s most recent novel Hell Spring, a forthcoming third Lost Hollow novel, the writing process, social media, and more.
“Jim is also a writer and is working on his own novel,” Isaac says. “It’s always fun to talk a little shop with a fellow author who understands the trials and triumphs of the creative process.”
Along with “What’s Kraken,” HauntedMTL also boasts the horror series podcast “AA” and “Streamin’ Demons,” a regular three-movie recommendation podcast. All the HauntedMTL podcasts are available on Apple podcasts. You can listen to Jim’s interview with Isaac there as well.
