What I'm Reading...

I'm not only a writer, but also an avid reader. As such, I've chosen to use some space in my newsletters to highlight my new and recent reads. There are two I'm journeying through at present: Octavia Butler's The Parable of the Sower and Antony J. Stanton's Speak of the Devil.

The former is a creepily prescient dystopian novel by the highly respected author. Sincerely, if you read this book you're going to wonder if Butler was in reality a time traveler who visited the current decade in American politics and then went back to the past to write about it.

The latter is an atmospheric medieval vampire novella complete with tropes you'll expect and surprises you won't. Stanton gives this one away for free when you sign up for his email newsletter, which you can do at the link I included above.

If you're looking for something new to read, I highly recommend these two books.
